FISH

Several miles of the Little Snake River flow through the ranch on its journey from the river’s headwaters in nearby Routt National Park west along the Wyoming-Colorado state line. The river holds healthy populations of native and non-native species of trout, including the Rocky Mountain native cutthroat trout.

The river spills through the ranch in a series of pools and stretches of fast-moving water that provide excellent trout habitat and hold trout through the summer months. The river is highly fishable with many open, easy approaches to the water all along its run through the ranch.

Fishing the Little Snake river requires a Colorado fishing license. Visitors to the ranch who are coming to hunt should note that all nonresident big game licenses are both a big game and annual fishing combination license.  All other visitors to the ranch can acquire a Colorado fishing license by following  This Link
